Cobb Circle Community Portals (Under Development)
Design and implementation of county-centric community portal for Cobb County, Georgia. The design will take the form of a digital newspaper (a la The New York Times digital version) where blog entries are used for news, events, and community partners - both business and consumer. Developed in Movable Type, the portal will also utilize plugins for RSS feeds and "re-feeds" (for automatically pulling in stories from external sources), multiblog display (where multiple blogs are referenced in a single "unifying" portal) and deployment of the Google API for real-time Google Maps-based location mapping. Expectations are to take this community portal design first to other counties within Georgia, then nationwide. (Under development)
